MEET the Doctor
Dr. Devin Radford completed his undergraduate education at University of South Florida, and his doctoral education through the National University of Health Sciences College of Chiropractic Medicine. After earning his professional degree, he completed a 3-year postdoctoral specialty in Clinical Neurology at the Carrick Institute for Clinical Neuroscience and Rehabilitation, and is board-eligible for the American Chiropractic Neurology Board and the American College of Functional Neurology fellowship.
Dr. Radford also completed a clinical physician internship under the 1-to-1 mentorship of Dr. Robert Koser (former clinical triage director at the acclaimed Laser Spine Institute). During his time under Dr. Koser, Dr. Radford developed and affirmed his principles of patient-centered care. He believes that best-practice care for a patient is conservative and interdisciplinary. Dr. Radford enjoys working as part of an interdisciplinary referral network with other specialties (orthopedics, pain medicine, imaging, and neurosurgery) to ensure his patients get the care they deserve and the best outcomes they can.
Dr. Radford became interested in the field of neurology as a patient himself. As a teenager, he developed mild neurologic symptoms and presented to his in-network neurologist. After a 3-minute exam, he was given a prescription and told by the doctor that for the rest of his life, he would need to take the medication each day that he did not want to have the symptoms.
That was an unsatisfactory experience and an incomplete answer for Dr. Radford. He felt that he as a patient deserved more. Furthermore, after a two week trial, he would also learn that the medication came with considerable side effects that were nearly as severe as his original complaint. It was only after exposure to the subspecialty of functional neurology that he experienced considerable and lasting relief.
Now as a neurologic-based provider himself, Dr. Radford strives to arm each patient with the knowledge they need, the time and 1st-class treatment they deserve, and the outcomes they’ve hoped for.
